The Department of Computer Application has organized a Webinar on Corporate Specific Programme on “Soft Skills for Career Success” on 25/11/2020 in Google Meet. The Resource person was Mr. Parthasarathy.S, Associate Vice President, ICICI Lombard GIC Ltd, Coimbatore. Mr. D. Sakthivel, HoD i/c has welcomed the gathering. The resource person has encouraged the all round development of students by focusing on soft skills. To make the students aware of the importance, the role and the content of soft and skills through instruction, knowledge acquisition, demonstration and practice. To develop and nurture the soft skills of the students through individual and group activities. R.Anitha, Assistant Professor has proposed the Vote of Thanks.

Outcome of the Event

The students of BCA have participated and got an idea about “Soft Skills for Career Success” such as effectively communicate through verbal/oral communication and improve the listening skills Write precise briefs or reports and technical documents. Actively participate in group discussion / meetings / interviews and prepare & deliver presentations. Become more effective individual through goal/target setting, self motivation and practicing creative thinking. Function effectively in multi-disciplinary and heterogeneous teams through the knowledge of team work, Inter-personal relationships, conflict management and leadership quality.The session went on very interactively and was informative to the students.

MOU On “Artificial Intelligence And Machine Learning In Recovery Of Covid 19”

  The Department of Computer Application has organized a Webinar thru MOU on “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Recovery of Covid 19” on 19/10/2020 in online mode using Google Meet. The resource person was Mr.M.S.Vijaykumar, Software Consultant and Corporate Trainer, Gateway Software Solution, Coimbatore. Mr.D.Sakthivel, HoD i/c has welcomed the gathering. The resource person explained about Artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are playing a key role in better understanding and addressing the COVID-19 crisis. Artificial Intelligence refers to a number of ways machines are built to perform with human-like intelligence. Under its broad field is a subset called machine learning, which involves the processing of massive amounts of data combined with sophisticated algorithms into machines so they can “learn” specific tasks automatically. Machine learning technology enables computers to mimic human intelligence and ingest large volumes of data to quickly identify patterns and insights. In the fight against COVID-19, Health Care Sectors have been quick to apply their machine learning expertise in several areas: scaling customer communications, understanding how COVID-19 spreads, and speeding up research and treatment. Mrs.K.Kalaivani, Assistant Professor has proposed the Vote of Thanks.
