How do I reach NASC?

The college is situated on Coimbatore- Palakkad National highway road NH544. Hence those who are coming from Coimbatore and Palakad can get down at Thirumalayampalayam pirivu. From there college campus is 2 km in south direction.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

[Foreign / International/ Non Resident Indian (NRI) students]

These guidelines are based on the rules framed by University Grants Commission (UGC) and notified in its website ( www.ugc.ac.in) and Bharathiar University (www.b-u.ac.in)

‘International Students’ includes:

  1. Foreign Students: Students holding passports issued by foreign countries and people of Indian origin who have acquired the nationality of foreign countries are included as foreign students.
  2. Non Resident Indians : Wards of NRI parents are eligible for admissions to NRI category

VISA for international Students:

  1. VISA: All the international students will require a ‘Student VISA’
  2. The visa shall be valid for the entire duration of the course.
  • Visa shall be obtained only after issuing the offer of admission.
  1. Visa is not required for NRI students.
  2. Entry level status of International students on entry to the country will be maintained, i.e., if the applicant entered the country through a student visa, it will remain the same throughout the duration of the course. The applicant cannot change the type of visa during the course of the study.
  3. All International Students wishing to undertake any research work or join a P.G. or Ph.D. program shall have to obtain prior security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the approval of Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
  • All the mandatory Forms recommended by Bureau of Immigration (BoI) namely: Form C, Form S, FRRO registration or any other documents, shall be completed and communicated to departments concerned and BU-CIA.
  • Proper Exit shall be done at the time of completion of the course, for processing the results and Certificates of the international students.

Eligibility:

  1. Students who have qualified from Foreign Universities or Boards of Higher Education recognized as equivalent by the ‘Association of Indian Universities’ (AIU) are eligible for admission.
  2. The candidate has to obtain and submit a Certificate of equivalence from AIU by paying the requisite fee.

Admission of International Students:

  1. Eligible applicants need to certify that the medium of instruction for the qualifying examination passed is English.
  2. For applicants who have undertaken their studies in a language other than English need to have a valid IELTS/TOEFL score or equivalent assessment.
  • Once this is submitted, the admission order will be issued.
  1. All fees have to be paid in US dollars or equivalent in Indian rupees.
  2. A student who is admitted to a particular course shall not be allowed to change the course.

Categories of Foreign National Applicant who shall be admitted to various Programmes of Study in the University:

  1. Students with relevant scholarships/ self-support.
  2. Students sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Copies of the following documents shall be submitted.

List of Documents:

  1. Date of Birth Certificate
  2. Document Supporting 12 years of School Education
  • Transcripts/ Mark sheets and Degrees of academic credentials
  1. Valid Certificate of TOEFL/Academic IELTS/ELPC, if applicable
  2. Equivalency certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Contact details are mentioned in eligibility section.
  3. Copy of the Passport and the biographic pages of the Passport (valid for at least six months at the time of submitting the application)
  • PIO card wherever applicable.
  • NRI status Certificate wherever applicable
  1. Migration certificate or Transfer certificate
  2. Proof of financial support for the duration of the Certificate/ Diploma/Under-Graduate/
  3. Citizenship card by Nepalese nationals along with the biographic pages of the Passport
  • Registration Card (Tibetan Nationals only)
  • Refugee status Certificate from UNHCR (if applicable)
  • Working Diplomats: NOC from Protocol Division of MEA, Government of India
  1. No Objection Certificate from employer (if in regular job and availing of leave for the duration
  • Medical Insurance with evacuation clause
  • Medical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner

Selection Process:

  1. Foreign nationals fulfilling the eligibility criteria may be registered for programmes over and above the maximum admissible strength which shall not exceed 15 percent of the total admissible strength of the Department.
  2. Provisional Admission will be given only to those applicants who fulfill the eligibility requirements and are recommended for admission by the respective admission committee. Please note: Provisional admission letter does not guarantee a seat, unless the candidate satisfies the above requirements.

FACILITIES PROVIDED FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

  1. Computer Room

The computer with internet facility is available for all residents. The computer connected to the College network can be accessed for academic pursuits.

  1. Reading Room

Hostel has a reading room for the study of its residents. A well furnished room provides good space for studying/reading.

  1. Common Room

Spacious common room is provided, which has a place for constructive activities like indoor games, discussions and get together within the hostel. The hostel provides the students with daily newspapers and various magazines to make them aware of the daily happenings in the world.

  1. Play Ground

The hostel provides facilities for outdoor games like the Badminton, Cricket, Football, Tug of war etc.

  1. Dining Hall

Mess facility is an integral part of the hostel which provides nutritious homely and hygienic food to all its students. It provides quality food prepared under strict hygienic conditions. The mess is run by the residents of the hostel in consultation with the Hostel authorities on a no-profit no-loss basis. It provides homely/delicious food for breakfast lunch and dinner. In case of illness, resident may be served food in their rooms with the permission of the Warden.

  1. Indoor Games

The hostel provides facilities for indoor games like the Carrom, Chess, Badminton, Table Tennis etc.

  1. Gym Facilities

A well equipped gym is available in the hostel only to the regular residents.

  1. Washing Machine

The hostel has semi-automatic washing machines which are being used by the residents regularly.

  1. Wi-Fi

The hostel also provides 24/7 Internet Access with Wi-Fi facility to its residents.

  1. Canteen

A canteen also runs in the college premises for refreshment of the resident and their guests in addition of mess.

  1. Health

A residential Nurse / Physician will available in the hostel to attend the students in case of emergency. The hostel is equipped with Medical room with basic and emergency equipments and medicine. An ambulance is available in the hostel .

  1. Camera

The hostel campus is CCTV-enabled to cater to the safety requirements of a well endowed and equipped campus receiving a huge footfall. 24 Hrs. Security Guards/Caretaker with C.C.T.V. security system are available to provide a secure environment to its residents.

Separate Hostels for Boys & Girls on monthly payment basics as per availability.

FEE REFUND POLICY

The Fee Refund Policy is based on UGC Guidelines in this regard as contained in UGC Notification on Refund of Fees and Non-Retention of Original Certificates of July 2023

  • Any student admitted to any of the programs offered by the college may apply for a refund from studies at any time during the academic year of admission or later.
  • Application form for refund must be made in the prescribed format duly signed by the student and the parent.
  • Application for refund may be made either by applying along with the duly filled and signed prescribed format in person by the student or his/her authorized
  • In case of a programme is called off due to any reason (s), the full fee deposited by the student shall be refunded.

Refund Procedure: The refund money will be transferred to the bank account as per the details furnished in the application form for refund

What is the dress code followed in NASC?

The students should wear uniform on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays and Formals in all others days. Casuals are permitted only on Saturdays.

Also they should always wear the Identity Card with tag when they are inside the Campus.

How can I apply for educational loan from Bank?

The students should request the Principal to issue Bonafide Certificate and Fees Structure through Class in charges/HoDs of the Departments. The College will issue Bonafide Certificate and fees structure to apply for educational loan from bank. They can approach the bank in their locality on their own for the loan.

How can I apply for government scholarships?

The college will send circular regarding the government scholarships. The student has to download the prescribed application form from the College website (www.nehrucolleges.com) and the filled in application form with necessary certificate has to be submitted to the office before the due dates.

Is any bank or ATMs available inside the Campus?

The Syndicate Bank branch (IFSC code: SYNB0006169) is located within the Campus. Also syndicates Bank have their ATM in the College premises main gate.

How can I open a Savings Account in the Syndicate Bank located in the Campus?

Savings account opening form can be collected from the college office. Filled in application form with necessary documents with introductory signature by HOD has to be submitted to the bank for opening the account.

When I shall get all my Original Certificates which I have submitted during my admission?

After getting approval of admission from concerned state university all the original certificates which were submitted during admission will be returned to the students.

How can I get the Bonafide Certificate from the college to apply Bus Pass/ Pass port/ Scholarships/ Welfare Fund etc?

Students can apply for Bonafide Certificate through College Office.

How can I pay the College Fees from second semester onwards?

Necessary communication will be sent to the parents during the month of May/June based on that information, they can pay the fees before the prescribed due date.

What is the College working hour?

Can parents meet their ward during working hour?

They have to meet the Department Head through the class-in-charge, and after getting his consent only they can meet their ward during the working hours.

Are there any eligibility criteria for students to appear for the End Semester Examinations?

Students should secure a minimum of 75% of attendance in each subject individually

They should pay the Examination Fees before the due date.

Can students park Two-Wheeler / four Wheelers inside the college?

Students with valid driving license and wearing helmets can park their two-wheelers at the designated places inside the Campus. Students coming in two wheelers without helmets are not permitted inside the Campus. There is no parking facility for students to park their four wheelers inside the Campus.
