International Webinar – Microbes As Efficient Eco-Warriors : 04.05.2020

Nehru Arts and Science College, Coimbatore Department of Microbiology and International Eco Club Student Chapter (IECSC) Organized International webinar for two days from 04.05.2020 to 05.05.2020 through online mode. Dr. J. Rathinamala, Professor and Head, Department of Microbiology welcomed the gathering and insisted the students to interact with the resource person and get benefitted . Dr. B. Anirudhan, Nehru Arts and Science College felicitated the gathering and insisted the students to get exposed through online mode. Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary, Nehru group of institutions presided over the function and he congratulated the team for taking effort by the department and it should continue for the benefit of the students. The first day of the International Webinar was handled by Dr Albert Premkumar of Istanbul University,Turkey. The session was emphasised on Solution to Pollution. He was flawless in delivering an interesting topic of Environmental Microbiology. The session stressed more on different types of Pollution causes and their back effects on the environment& the recent technologies adopted to gain triumph against these alarming natural extinctions. He debated on the biological changes which leads to alteration of Ecosystem But also dismantles the human health on such example was Global Warming leading to improper functioning of nephrons. He picked up Dr Spincer Whitney Associate Professor Australian National University who had Bioengineered enzymes to adjust Carbon Dioxide fixation. He encouraged students to do projects related to Microbial Allelopathy . Bioremediation was the game changing topic of the seminar, he shared its importance and methods which are very important in healing as well as recycling of the environment. The motive which he focussed more was to serve best ways to protect the globe and He introduced Career objectives by collaborating Eco projects. He left us with six most beautiful & informative books of Environmental Microbiology. The seminar generated lots of ideas about how to continue and expand skills in EM. Dr. N.
