Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Nehru Arts and Science College, Coimbatore organized a five day Faculty Development Programme on “Inevitable Components Of Higher Education In The Context Of National Education Policy” from 02.06.2021 to 06.06.2021.Dr.P.Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary, NGI inaugurated the programme and addressed the gathering.Dr. N. Shani, IQAC Coordinator, NASC welcomed the gathering. Dr. R. Malathi, Head, Department of English introduced the resource person. Dr. B .Anirudhan, Principal, Nehru Arts and Science College, Coimbatore was the resource person of the first day of the FDP. The session focused on NAAC-AQAR Preparation. Our Principal gave a brief account of all the seven NAAC criteria. All the queries were answered by the resource person. The session ended up with the vote of Thanks. Dr.A.Kalaivani proposed vote of thanks. Dr. Kanagaraj Eswaran, Professor and Head, Department of MSW, Mizoram, Central University was the resource person of the second day on 03.06.2021.Dr. N. Shani, IQAC Coordinator, NASC welcomed the gathering. Dr. R. Malathi, Head, Department of English introduced the resource person. Dr. Kanagaraj Eswaran gave insight on the components of research proposal, process of writing a research proposal and the manner in which a Research proposal needs to be written. Dr. S. Margret Anouncia, Professor – HAG & Director/ Faculty and Staff Welfare School of Computer Science and Engineering, VIT University, Vellore was the resource person of the third day on 03.06.2021.Dr. N. Shani, IQAC Coordinator, NASC welcomed the gathering. Dr. R. Malathi, Head, Department of English introduced the resource person. Dr. S. Margret Anouncia shared her expertise on “OBE Curriculum”. She gave a vivid picture on outcome based curriculum development and the process of developing it and addressed all the queries of the participants.Dr. R. Malathi, Head, Department of English thanked the resource person for the insightful presentation.
Dr .A. Yamuna, K & S Partners, Chennai was the resource person of the next session in the same day.Dr. N. Shani, IQAC Coordinator, NASC welcomed the gathering. Dr. R. Malathi, Head, Department of English introduced the resource person.Dr .A. Yamuna shared her expertise on “Patent Filing”. She gave vivid elucidation on the process of filing the patent. Dr .A. Yamuna addressed all the queries of the participants.Dr. R. Malathi, Head, Department of English thanked the resource person for sparing her valuable time and shared her expertise on Patent Filing.
Dr. K. Arockia Maraichelvi, Associate Professor, Department of Human Development, Avinashilingam University was the resource person on 05.06.2021. Mrs.Juliet Rozario, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and IQAC Member welcomed the gathering. Dr. R. Malathi, Head, Department of English introduced the resource person. Dr.K.Arockia Maraichelvi gave a consequential momentous session on the process of developing e Content. All the queries were answered. Dr. R. Malathi, Head, Department of English thanked the resource person for facilitating the participants in the process of understanding the implementation of OBE in NBA Process using various innovative teaching-learning methods.
The final session of the five day Faculty Development Programme was handled by Dr.Parvathi Venkatesh, Principal, Don Bosco College, Mumbai.Dr. N. Shani, IQAC Coordinator, NASC welcomed the gathering. Dr. R. Malathi, Head, Department of English introduced the resource person. Dr.Parvathi Venkatesh took a keen interest in sharing her years of insight and experience in the field with interesting anecdotes and the importance of effective Mentoring in students’ holistic development.
The report of the five day FDP was read by Mrs. S. Kavitha, Assistant Professor, Department of English & IQAC Member. The programme ended with Vote of Thanks by Dr. P. K. Manoj Kumar, Head, Department of IT&CT, IQAC Member. 128 Faculty members of NASC and 10 Faculty members from Don Bosco College, Mumbai were benefitted.
