Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Nehru Arts and Science College, Coimbatore organized Faculty Development Programme on 11.06.2021 on the topic “Proposal Writing and Project Funding”. This FDP was designed to provide knowledge on research Funding Opportunities and proposal preparations for Academicians. Dr. B .Anirudhan, Principal, Nehru Arts and Science College, Coimbatore welcomed the gathering. Dr. R. Malathi, Head, Department of English introduced the resource person.The session was handled by Dr. M. Priyamvadha, Professor, Department of Criminology, University of Madras. Dr. M. Priyamvadha focused on how to promote research among teachers. She explained the procedures of applying minor and major projects under UGC and also the documents required for submitting minor and major projects. The resource person gave insight on the various agencies through which research grants could be availed .Dr. M. Priyamvadha expounded predominantly on these aspects.

The FDP gave insight on promoting excellence in research and created awareness for writing good Research proposals.Dr. N. Shani, IQAC Coordinator, NASCproposed vote of thanks. 128 faculty members of NASC were benefitted. The session ended with the concluding remarks from our Principal, Dr. B. Anirudhan and Dr. N. Shani, IQAC Coordinator motivated all the faculty members to come up with research proposals and apply to various funding agencies.
