Stakeholders meeting 2020-21

Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Nehru Arts and Science College organized IQAC stake Holders Meeting on 17.02.2021 at 10.30 a.m. in Board room of NASC. Dr. B. Anirudhan, Principal gave the welcome note. Dr. N. Shani, IQAC Coordinator explained about the functioning of IQAC in brief and introduced the new team members. She also briefed about the IQAC year planner and new initiatives in detail. Principal opened the forum for the discussions on the quality enhancement of the institution by placing the request to the employer and industry nominee to have an agreement to train the faculty to the industry expectations. Dr. Mythili Gnanapriya, Controller of Examinations interacted in terms of Curriculum development with industry standards. Academic Expert Prof. Dr. N. PonPandian, Director of IQAC, Bharathiar university gave excellent inputs to the development of the institution. Mr. Nalin of II BBA and Ms. Varsha of III B.A English (Student Nominees) have represented the College students and gave suggestions for the betterment of student community. Mr. Lawrence Director, NCPIR catered the industry needs and insisted to meet the expectations through appropriate trainings for both faculty and students. IQAC Members also took part in the discussions.

The team of IQAC consisting of three members Dr. N. Shani, Dr. P. K. Manojkumar and Dr. A. Kalaivani visited the Bharathiar University IQAC cell to meet the IQAC coordinator Dr. N. Ponpandian Sir and understand their best practices and documentation procedure on 10.12.2020. The team discussed the preparation for the forthcoming NAAC reaccreditation cycle. He listened and had suggested the following:

  • Conduct orientation programme jointly with NAAC
  • Refer and review the SSR of different colleges all over the country
  • Prepare the file list according to recent updated criterion
  • Minimize the number of files to be maintained in each department by clubbing or maintaining year wise.
  • Digitalisation to be done in our college Website
  • Feedback system to made qualitative and not mere quantitative
  • Action taken report to be maintained
