The Department of Costume Design and Fashion and Institution’s Innovation Council jointly organized Adjunct Professor Talk “Process of Innovation and Developments in Merchandising” on 26.10.2023 for 64 Participants and Mrs. Abirami Venkatraman, Vice President – Merchandising, Jai Knit Creations, Tirupur acted as the resource person. She explained about understanding consumer needs, identifying & sourcing of right merchandise, deciding the right assortment, planning distribution of merchandise to different locations in the right quantities, deciding on the pricing and communicating merchandise offerings to the target customers.
Outcome of the Event: The program helped the students understand the role of workforce skills in the innovation process in Merchandising.
