The Department of Microbiology, School of Life Sciences organized UG Lab inauguration and career guidance on “Job Prospects in Contract Research Organizations”, on 06.01.2022 at 9:30 am. Dr. T.H. Sukirtha, Head, Department of Microbiology welcomed the gathering and Dr. B. Anirudhan, Principal, Nehru Arts and Science College delivered the Presidential address. Chief Guest address was given by Mr. Vaisakh Bharathan and Dr. M. Thangavel, Dean, School of Life Sciences, Nehru Arts and Science College felicitated the gathering. Mr. Vaisakh Bharathan started the lecture on differences between the wet lab and dry lab setup and briefly explained on the role of contract research organizations in medical field. He also explained about various clinical research courses available in India to develop the skills of the students who choose career in the clinical research and the top companies offering the jobs in this field. He also concluded with the skills required to become a clinical researcher their attitude, work nature and opportunities available in upcoming years.

Participants understood about the current opportunities available are in the field of clinical research, positions and procedures to get the project to undergo the clinical trials.
