SIX DAY NATIONAL LEVEL EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT…

A Six day National Level Executive Development Programme was organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Centre for Capacity Building and Karbros as a joint venture on “New Trends in Higher Education and Emergence of Smart Teachers” from 25.06.2021 to 30.06.2021. The inauguration of the programme was graced by Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Chairman and Management Trustee, Nehru Group of Institutions and Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary, Nehru Group of Institutions

The Ist session was handled by Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Bakhshi, Addressed on the topic “Empowering Teachers for 21st Century Challenges to enhance the Quality of Higher Education in India” . He focused not only on digital literacy, but also personality development.

The second day of EDP was handled by Dr. Gauri Dutt Sharma, Vice Chancellor, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya. He briefed on the importance of technology and challenges faced by the teachers and emphasized on learner centric teaching which is supposed to be the need of the hour and suggested certain requirements .

Followed by session on Importance of Green Campus Audit to the educational Institute handled by Er. Anoop Vijayan, Project Director, U.A.E. He shared his expertise and gave brief account on Green Building movement in India,.

The same day Dr. R. Mary Josephine, the retired Dean of Academics , Nirmala College for Women was the resource person handled the session on NIRF Ranking System and insisted on the importance of NAAC & NIRF .

The IVth session was handled Dr. P. Baba Gnanakumar, shared his expertise on OBE- Rubrics and Question Setting. He gave vivid picture on rubrics and the ways to set question paper based on OBE.

The Vth session was handled by Dr. K.S. Chandrasekar and he shared his mastery on basic elements of NEP, and the role of faculty in the implementation of NEP. He was capable of enumerating all the world famous universities like Federal university, Central University, Japan universities etc. It was a virtual treat from France to India to all the participants present in the forum.

The VIst session was handled Dr. B. Anirudhan, Principal, who shared his prowess on Hybrid Education – The Future. He educated on the need of the hour and shared certain hybrid models in the process of implementing hybrid education in future. He insisted on the significance of taking up MOOCs courses as it is expected for NEP, NIRF, NAAC.

In the valedictory session , we had the privilege of our honorable CEO & Secretary addressing the gathering followed by the last session by Dr. K.C. Chandrashekharan Nair, Startup Mentor, KDISC, Kerala. He shared his expertise on Innovation and Incubation for Startups in Higher Education. It was an insightful presentation.
