The Social Work Department has adopted Rottigoundanur village under Unnath Bharath Abiyan and doing developmental activities. As a part of it Water resource was renovated with 1.5 lakhs rupees. Thiru Vetri Selvan, Deputy Mayor, Coimbatore Corporation was the chief guest for the programme. Official Board about model village was Inaugurated.
