Anti Ragging awareness programme was conducted for the students of Microbiology Department on 13.07.2023. Students were explained about ragging and the consequences of involving in ragging. It was also insisted that even the honorable supreme court in its order has banned ragging in any form in institutions. It was also said that ragging is a criminal offence and the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Ragging Act provides punishment for involving in the same. The students were also shown with the awareness videos on Anti-ragging. The students (Total- 129) were able to understood the outcomes and dangers of involving in ragging and how it affects the mental and physical nature of the student who are affected by the ragging. The students were asked to participate in making ragging free campus.
