Nehru Arts and Science College celebrated PG Freshers’ Day 2023 on 19th July at the college auditorium. Freshers’ Day was a day that was filled with enthusiasm, excitement and happiness. All the freshers were given hearty welcome by the Management, Principal, Members of Faculty and senior students. The Programme was initiated by Dr. Anirudhan, Principal with welcome address. He briefed about the importance of higher education, research, innovation and career opportunities. He also said that the college higher education prepares the students to meet the challenges of society with courage and determination.
It was then followed by lamp lightening and presidential address of Secretary. In his Presidential Address, Dr. P. KRISHNAKUMAR, CEO & Secretary, NGI greeted and congratulated them for choosing the college. He asked the student to swear themselves to become the good citizen and the best human being in the society. He also said that the students should utilise the resources of the college to bring out the best in them.
The Chief Guest Mr.Vimal Balakrishnan, Operations Manager, Avantor, Coimbatore, delivered an inspiring and motivational speech. Recollecting his life experiences he urged the young students to set their goals and targets in life and pursue them with resolve, perseverance and discipline.
The Special Guest, Ms. Sreelekshmi P L, Scientific Analyst, Molecular Connections, Bangalore, enthralled the students with the sharing and recollecting of her college experiences when she was at NASC. She told the students to enjoy the college life but work towards their goals and love learning. She also emphasised on the need to be sympathetic and helpful human beings towards others. The programme was ended with the vote of thanks.
