The Department of Social Work conducted a three day summer camp for undergraduate students on interviewing skills on counselling and street theatre from 27th May 24 to 29th May 2024.Dr. S. Saraswathy, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Dr. Shanthana Lakshmi, Dean of Commerce along with Dr. P. Nathiya, Head & Associate Professor, Department of Social Work were inaugurated the camp. On the first day, sessions were handled on different topics, such as the significance of social work, counselling techniques, the importance of mental health, and street theatre training. The values of social work were taught through various activities and games. On the second day, as a part of the camp, students were taken to Assisi Snehalaya and Rottikoundanur, our adopted village. On the third day, a valedictory function was held, and certificates were distributed to the students.
