The Department of Social Work, in collaboration with Bethany Jeevan Jyothy old age for men Thiruvallla, Kerala, organised a 6-day village orientation camp in the name Samathwa- 2023 ( Equality ) from February 12 to 18, 2023, for first year MSW students at Adumbada Village, Thiruvilla, Kerala. Students visited the UP school and participated in wall painting, sports, life skills, and cultural activities, followed by PRA training. The went on a field trip to Bothana NGO and then performed a flash mob in Tiruvalla Transport bus stand, Private bus stand and Tiruvalla town junction. Medical camp was organised in Adumbada village. The students gained a different experience in the rural camp, where they learned about their daily challenges and limitations. Students practised a variety of social work methodologies in order to truly comprehend community issues.
