The Students Research Exchange Programme was Inaugurated on 7th of November, 2022 by Dr. B. Anirudhan, Principal, NASC, Dr. N. Shani, Director- IQAC, Dr. R. Malathi, Dean – SoLA and Dr. Sankla Mahavir, Head, Department of English , H.V. Desai College, Pune. Dr. B. Anirudhan, Principal, Nehru Arts and Science, Coimbatore, Delivered a lecture on Research perspective about the angle of view from which phenomena are observed, And how to perceive the phenomena. Dr.Sankla Mahavir – Head, Department of English, Haribhai V. Desai College, Pune, Took a session on Developing Research Idea giving them knowledge on how one could obtain an appropriate answer to the problem identified. Dr. Shanmugam. V, Research Director, NASC, took a session on Research Exposure of NASC, giving them knowledge about the research activities of in NASC. Dr. N. Shani, Director – IQAC & Dean, School of Management, Nehru Arts and Science College, Took a session on The Role of Research in Accreditation, telling the students about the objectives, developing the capacity and evaluating programs using a set of validated assessment criteria. On the same day Dr. Vimal Kumar. D, Associate Professor of Computer Science, NASC, Took a session on Research Tools and Techniques by telling the students about Questionnaires, interviews, rating and attitude scales, tests are the major data-gathering research tools. The next session was taken by Dr. Pratap Chandran, Assistant Professor, Bachelor of Computer Applications, NASC, on the topic Patent filling giving them knowledge on how one could express their ideas and register their unique ideas. After the session in the afternoon, the students visited the Isha yoga and other cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu. Dr. K. Rajkumar, Assistant Professor of English, NASC, conducted a session on Research Methodology , On how one could identify, select, process, and analyze information. Next session was conducted by Dr. B. Vaikundaselvan, Executive Director, NGI TBI, on Business Incubation about how our college is helping for the startup and individual entrepreneurs. Last session of the programme is on the topic Research Grants, Research Proposal by Dr. Saranya, Head, Department of Biotechnology has given a brief note on grants, funding agencies and proposal.
Outcome of the Event:
A book was released by Haribhai V. Desai College, Pune under the authorship of Dr. Sankla Mahavir and Shraddha Mahavir.
