The Department of Costume Design and Fashion has organised an Orientation Programme on “Khadi Industry and Training” on 11.03.2021.The Department of Costume Design and Fashion has organised an Orientation Programme on “Khadi Industry and Training” on 11.03.2021 for 42 Participants and Ms. Dimple Jha, National Joint Secretary, Khadi Design Council of India acted as Guest Speaker. The programme was conducted to make the students understand and involve Khadi into corporate and couture collection and also to promote employment in Khadi Designing for all emerging and upcoming designers. She also explained the students about how to connect with Government schemes and to facilitate in various programs like Skill India.
Outcome
The programme was definitely quite beneficial for the students to know about basic minimum requirements to qualify the membership in KDIC and to actively engaged in creative fashion design and marketing/ retailing wearing apparel under their own label.
