Students of II and III B. Sc Food Science and Nutrition students and 2 Faculties visited ‘The Tea Factory’ and ‘The Chocolate Industry’, Doddabeta, Ooty on 16.03.2023. Students were explained with the processing of tea powder in the tea industry and chocolate manufacturing in their chocolate industry.
Outcome of the event: Students gained knowledge on the withering process of tea leaves and the steps involved in the processing of Tea powder and processing of Cocoa into Chocolates.
