As part of the Home Visit Programme organized by the Department of Social Work, BSc. CS students visited Devashraya in Palakkad, an institution dedicated to supporting individuals with Mental Retardation. Devashraya provides its students with vocational training and essential daily living skills. During the visit, the students interacted with the children and participated in various activities, which offered them a meaningful opportunity to observe and understand the unique needs and capabilities of these children. The experience was invaluable in helping the students gain insight into how the children are trained and supported, deepening their appreciation for the importance of tailored educational and developmental approaches in such settings
