A Refresher programme for faculty members on ‘Effective teaching skill in mathematics’ was conducted by mathematics Association on 06/12/2017. Dr. M. S. Mutharasu, Assistant Professor, Department of mathematics, CBM college, Kovaipudur was the Resource person. He explained the basic qualities of the best teacher and various methods of teaching were briefed with examples. The session gave much information about teaching mathematical concepts in short cut methods. The Resource person gave many tricks, hints, and ways of teaching to make the students understand the tough concepts interestingly. While discussing the basic qualities of the best teacher, he pointed out the importance of HUMOUR SENSE of teachers and the ACCEPTANCE of the ignorance of students. Really the session was very useful.
