The Department of Costume Design and Fashion has organized an Extension Activity – Workshop on “HAND EMBROIDERY” for 12th Standard School Students of VRT Girls Higher Secondary School, Pollachi on 18.08.2021. Our Faculty T. Fiona Paulson (Assistant Professor) taught the Hand Embroidery stitches – chain stitch, stem stitch, bullion knot stitch, fly stitch, fishbone stitch, blanket stitch, and satin stitch. Students applied the taught designs in their handkerchiefs. The students felt that the workshop was very useful.
Outcome
Students got basic ideas on Hand embroidery and its application.
