The Department of Costume Design and Fashion has organised Workshop on “Grid Portrait for Beginners” on 22.06.2021 for 55 participants (both Internal and External Participants). Ms. Gayathri Kathirvel, Professional Designer & Drawing Artist, Blush and Bloom Academy, acted as the Resource person. The workshop highlighted on the grid method which is an inexpensive, low-tech way to reproduce an image that we need. The grid method is less time-intensive process, which depends on how large and detailed our painting will be. This grid method involves drawing a grid over the reference photo, and then drawing a grid of equal ratio on the work surface.
Outcome
The participants gained insight in making beautiful unique portrait with the grid method. It also provided an idea of creating photorealistic paintings.
