The Department of Costume Design and Fashion has organized an Industrial Visit to Regional Science Centre and Science Museum, Coimbatore, India to learn about the History of Textiles and its Development, Science Models on 26.11. 2021. I B. Sc CDF & II B. Sc CDF Students (45 Students) and four staff Members (Dr S. Jayapriya, N. Manikandan, M. Nandhini, C. Anisha) went to Industrial Visit. Students viewed Models of the fibre Cultivating Process, fibre conversion into the yarn process, yarn to fabric formation methods, Weaving, Knitting and Non – Woven‘s Design creation methods.
Outcome
The students have gained Knowledge on history and steps in Textiles, Weaving, Knitting and Non-woven, and Technical Textiles.
