The Department organized an Industrial Visit for II UG and III UG Microbiology students along with Two faculties to Centre for Food Technological Research Institute -Mysore on 11.09.2023. Dr. Prakash M Halami Chief Scientist & Head Microbiology and Fermentation Technology gave a brief introduction along with Dr. K. Neelakanteswar Patil, Principal Scientist about the Different units in the Centre and their role in improving the society by their research, Sir also explained the major instruments used in their research related to food science. Student’s obtained great learning, enriching experience and acquire knowledge about the food technology related research. They were also given exposure to the Microbial contribution in developing the probiotics. The students were very much excited by the laboratory works and experiments that are carried out to benefit the society.
